To launch our new website, we have created a special edition collection of prints under the heading of: Our Beautiful Town. Concentrating on Rochdale, which is the birthplace of Definition Art Studio.
Rochdale unfortunately, has had a lot of bad press in recent years and is seen as a ‘dirty mill town’ in the North of England. But you don't have to look far to see it’s natural beauty. Situated at the foothills of the South Pennines in the dale on the River Roch the town, is packed full of beautiful architecture, rolling hills, nature reserves and buildings that we all hold close to our hearts.
There’s a lot to be proud of: the imposing Rochdale Town Hall, a Victorian municipal building is "widely recognised as being one of the finest municipal buildings in the country", and is a National Heritage Listed designated Grade I building.
Definition Art Studio has produced various print styles of this spectacular building from many angles to show the full beauty of this magnificent, iconic landmark: bathed in sunshine and flowers and guarded by the statue of Rochdale’s very own sweetheart, Gracie Fields ‘Our Gracie’.
The Town Centre is surrounded by the Pennines to the east, which boasts many beauty spots. Definition Art Studio has captured these in technicolor from the reservoirs and hills in Norden, the nature reserve at Healey Dell to Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough. All of these images with an abundance of wildlife which is highlighted at Queens Park, where the lake is populated by a large variety of birds including Swans, Herons and Ducks.
Best of all, not only are we championing our town but, we are very proud to donate 50% of the profits from the sale of any of the Rochdale Collection to two much loved, local charities:
Most of the collection is available in various styles to suit your own personal taste and we are confident that there will be a print to grace the walls of your home or business.
